I had hoped that I could start to build my project team while on playa 2017. But a set of circumstances made that difficult. Daytime heat was intense, and I didn't venture out to the art during the day as much as in 2016. My sketches were on my phone, which I didn't feel like carrying with me. And I wanted to experience the event without focusing on the future of my project.
Again there were amazing art projects, many of which were influential. But my favorite was the Tree of Tenere, a lifelike tree with color-changing LED leaves. It was truly magical.
