Do you know of that feeling when you put a lot of effort, sweat, tears, and blood into something, just to have it be pulled off 110% better than you could've ever imagined, ultimately leaving with you a nice little hangover of positivity and good vibes after the event end? You know what I'm talking about, right? Good, because at the Chilopod HQ, that's exactly what we've been feeling since our Chiloparty fundraiser. Seeing so many people show up to our little party, contributing, and sharing their enthusiasm for the Chilopod has been nothing less than magical, and we can't thank you all enough for your support.
We had great food, some amazing DJs, lots and lots of drinks, and a nice impromptu fire dance to end the night! Along with that, we raised lots of additional funds to keep our work going. Hopefully, we'll do it again soon, and we'll see all of you back!
Somehow, some way, a few of us were able to get up early on Sunday to continuing the build work on the Chilopod. Maybe it was the urgency of finishing such a project, the overwhelming support from the dance party, or the fact that some of just can't sleep at night, but some of us came to the warehouse on Sunday and got right back to work. We are just about finished with the right hindest leg of the Chilopod.
We'll need many more hours to build this thing, and we'll need help from any and every one of you. We'll be announcing the build days shortly, so come help us out on one of those days.
Lastly, we'll be at the East Bay Burners monthly meeting this Friday, May 18th, showing off our project and getting some of you very excited, along with 20 other projects from around the Bay Area.
